Student Project: SPACEGRAV OISJWEG
Running a space program is hard. Physics, math, budgets, chimpanzee test pilots and plenty of acronyms that no one can understand. Lead our intrepid chimps on a bold quest to explore the universe.
My role on the SPACEGRAV OISJWEG Prototype:
Game was developed as a student project during a school course at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Collaborated with my partner, Jeremy Wolff, to build a variety of prototypes to explore the core concept of controlling a dangerous and unstable spaceship.
Balanced the physics of the spaceship to be responsive, yet intentionally unwieldy.
Implemented around a dozen levels and balanced the gravity and destructive power of planets and suns to make each level dangerously exciting.
Created and implemented art for planets, suns, explosions, user interface, and a half dozen space chimps.
Designed helpful prompts that were baked into the design of levels to help players learn to play while staying immersed.
Appeared in the movie Game of Your Life on NBC.
Exhibited at Game Developers Exchange 2011.
Harvest fuel from planets by maintaining orbit around it. You'll need the fuel to travel through the warp gate. Fuel power's everything on your ship from your warp drives to your shield.

Each planet has limited amount of fuel you can harvest from it. Make sure you don't run out of fuel before reaching the warp gate!
